The stories behind our photographs

Photography is more than just capturing an image and having it saved on a memory card. Whenever I photograph something half of the time I do it because something memorable is occurring at that moment. The other half I am just taking pictures left and right. Just one photograph can tell an entire story. I like looking back at my pictures over the years and then talking about them with a friend for hours. All photographs are treasures. Some people know how to appreciate them and others don't. The important thing to remember is that they are OUR photographs, so even if someone else finds no meaning in it to you it will always have meaning. Some of our simple photographs can even become famous if the brave chance is ever taken to submit it somewhere. This TED talk really gets the point across about photographs that tell stories. It even somewhat touches up on a project that is very similar to the one I plan to work on this year. ENJOY!

  1. I think I understand what you are saying and it seems good, but if I were a stranger reading this I would think this is extremely vague and be lost. Explain more clearly to give a better idea of what you are trying to convey.

  2. I agree with Chassidy. The reason I understood what you were talking about its because I know you. I remember sammy and I making fun of you because of the pictures you would do. Remember? The Lucy? lol. Well I think you should mention a time when you took pictures or add a picture that means a lot to you. Also express more how you feel when you look at a picture. I can relate to it.

Chassidy thanks for giving me the whole stranger scenario I will get right on that. Cesar thanks for giving me the idea of uploading a picture of my own. I will do that on my next post and use it to give an example and clear my idea up for others.
